MedTech
MedTech is a virtual and local mental healthcare platform designed to connect individuals with the right therapists and psychiatric providers. As both the UI/UX designer and front-end developer, I was responsible for crafting a seamless, user-friendly, and visually engaging landing page that effectively communicates the platform’s mission.

Problem
Access to mental healthcare remains a significant challenge for many individuals. Patients often struggle with long wait times, difficulty finding the right therapist, and a lack of digital platforms that offer both virtual and local mental health support. Many existing solutions lack user-friendly interfaces, making it harder for people to seek and receive the help they need efficiently.
Research
To address these challenges, I conducted in-depth research on the healthcare technology industry, analyzing competitors and identifying key pain points for users. The research involved:
User Surveys & Interviews: Gathered insights from potential users on their struggles with finding mental health support.
Competitor Analysis: Studied existing mental healthcare platforms to identify gaps in usability, accessibility, and service integration.
Industry Standards & Regulations: Ensured the design adhered to healthcare compliance requirements for secure patient data handling.
Findings revealed that users wanted a seamless experience—a platform that helps them quickly connect with the right therapist, schedule sessions easily, and access mental health resources in one place.
Solution
Based on research insights, I designed and developed MedTech, a virtual and local mental healthcare platform that connects users with therapists and psychiatric providers.
UI/UX Design (Figma): Created a modern, accessible, and user-friendly interface with a structured navigation flow.
Prototyping & Wireframing: Developed interactive prototypes to visualize the user journey and optimize usability.
Frontend Development (HTML, CSS, JavaScript): Built a fully responsive website using VS Code, ensuring accessibility on desktops, tablets, and mobile devices.
User-Centric Features:
Easy Therapist Matching: Users can find professionals based on their needs.
Appointment Scheduling: Simple booking system for virtual or in-person consultations.
Resource Hub: Provides mental health articles, self-help tools, and guidance.
By combining a research-driven approach with intuitive UI/UX design, MedTech successfully offers a digital solution that enhances accessibility, improves the patient experience, and makes mental healthcare more approachable.

Design Process
UI/UX Design Implementation
With the wireframe finalized, I moved on to high-fidelity UI design, ensuring that every element was well-aligned and visually appealing. I incorporated:
Quality images and an explainer video to enhance user engagement.
A clean, intuitive layout for seamless navigation.
Responsive design principles, ensuring the UI adapts smoothly across desktop, tablet, and mobile screens.
Frontend Development
Once the design was finalized, I transitioned to coding the landing page in VS Code using HTML5, CSS3, and JavaScript. I focused on:
Maintaining clean and structured code for scalability and performance.
Implementing CSS Flexbox and Grid for layout consistency.
Utilizing Media Queries to achieve full responsiveness across various screen sizes.
Competitive Analysis
To create a user-friendly and effective mental healthcare platform, I conducted a competitive analysis to evaluate existing solutions, identify gaps, and refine MedTech’s value proposition.
Key Competitors Analyzed
BetterHelp – A popular online therapy platform offering virtual sessions.
Talkspace – A messaging-based therapy platform providing convenience and flexibility.
Amwell – A telehealth service that includes mental health consultations.
Headway – Connects users with therapists who accept insurance.
Findings & Gaps Identified
Limited User Experience: Many platforms had complex onboarding and navigation, leading to user frustration.
Lack of Localized Options: Most competitors focused only on virtual therapy, limiting access to in-person consultations.
High Pricing & Insurance Barriers: Some platforms had expensive subscription models and limited insurance support.
Limited Mental Health Resources: Many lacked self-help content, mental health guides, and community support.
MedTech’s Competitive Advantage
Seamless UI/UX: Simplified onboarding, modern interface, and easy navigation.
Hybrid Model: Offers both virtual and in-person therapy options.
Flexible Payment Options: Supports insurance integration and more affordable pricing plans.
Resource Hub: Provides mental health articles, self-help tools, and guides to support users beyond therapy sessions.
By addressing these gaps, MedTech delivers a more inclusive, user-friendly, and accessible mental healthcare experience compared to existing platforms.
Project Outcome
The final product was a highly responsive, aesthetically pleasing, and functional landing page that effectively represents MedTech’s mission. It successfully balances visual appeal and usability, offering an intuitive experience for users seeking mental health services.
This project reinforced my ability to merge UI/UX design with front-end development, ensuring that the final output is not just beautifully designed but also fully functional and accessible across all devices.
